Juventus are beginning to plan a potential contract extension for leading goalscorer Dusan Vlahovic, which could help the Bianconeri spread the cost of the hefty bonuses included in the Serbian’s current deal, according to Friday’s reports.

Juventus plan for new Vlahovic contract

Vlahovic is currently tied to Juventus until the summer of 2026, however, the Old Lady could extend that deal by another year or two until 2027 or 2028. Vlahovic will be into the final  year of his contract during the next summer transfer window if a new deal is not completed before then.

The former Fiorentina striker is currently among the highest earners in the division, with a guaranteed annual wage of around €8m. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, significant bonuses are also included. Vlahovic is set to earn an additional €2.5m this season, which will rise to another €4m in 2025-26.

As Juventus have been working hard to reduce their expenditure on salaries, Vlahovic is unlikely to be offered a significant increase in wages if he signs a new deal.

Juve are also hoping to spread the cost of the bonuses included in Vlahovic’s deal, as well as spreading the amortised cost of his transfer by extending the contract until either 2027 or 2028, according to Friday’s updates.

La Gazzetta report that there will be a meeting at the end of the month to ‘kick off’ the negotiations between Vlahovic, his representatives and delegates from Juventus.
