In the first Derby della Mole edition of the season, Juventus displayed their superiority over their crosstown rivals Torino. Timothy Weah gave the Allianz Stadium something to cheer about early on, pouncing on a menacing run from Andrea Cambiaso. The Bianconeri were mostly in control and eventually doubled their lead in the final stages of the match when Francisco Conceicao and Kenan Yildiz combined to score the second. So here are our player ratings for Juventus who earned the city’s bragging rights as they toppled Torino by two unanswered goals.

Mattia Perin – 6.5

The experienced custodian didn’t have a major save to make, but always looked alert to the danger as he earned his third clean sheet in as many Serie A appearances this season.

Nicolò Savona – 6

The new Italy boy looked composed and sharp at the back, but still needs to work on his passing and overall technical skills.

Federico Gatti – 6.5

The former Frosinone man was always happy to bully his opponents off the ball, especially Tony Sanabria. He was almost embroiled in a titanic brawl against Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.

Pierre Kalulu – 7

Another solid outing at the back from the Milan loanee who hardly put a foot wrong, and was almost always the first to the ball.

Andrea Cambiaso – 7.5

An outstanding showing from the versatile full-back who somehow found a channel on the left side and launched a courageous run that yielded the first Juventus goal. He was a thorn in Torino’s back all night, massively contributing to both phases.

Manuel Locatelli – 7

The former Sassuolo man is becoming a true general at the heart of Thiago Motta’s lineup. Shielded the backline impeccably and instigated the play that led to the second goal with a precise long ball.

Khephren Thuram – 6.5

A dynamic display from the new Juventus signing under the watchful eye of his father Lilian. Worked hard for the cause and was always present to support his teammates in both phases.

Timothy Weah – 7

The American was in the right place at the right time to break the deadlock with a simple tap-in. His pace gave Valentino Lazaro nightmares.

Teun Koopmeiners – 6

The Dutchman is slowly but surely coming into his own at Juventus, and is already acting as a technical leader, giving instructions to his teammates, especially in the counter-pressing. Threatened to score on a couple of occasions, and picked up Weah with a clever assist for the disallowed goal.

Kenan Yildiz – 7.5

The Turkish teenager caused havoc for the Granata almost every time he received the ball. Kickstarted the play that led to Weah’s opener, and sealed the win for Juventus with a sliding header that wrongfooted Milinkovic-Savic.

Dusan Vlahovic – 5.5

Not a terrible outing by any means for the Serbian who wore his heart on his sleeve, but could have done better on a couple of inviting chances.
