Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is still looking for his first goal against Inter Milan at the San Siro.

Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, highlight the Serbian international’s subplot ahead of this evening’s Serie A Derby d’Italia.

So far in his career, Vlahovic has found the back of the net three times against Inter.

It is not surprising that the 24-year-old would bag at least a couple against the Nerazzurri. He has been one of the most prolific strikers in Italian football for a number of years now.

But there is one notable aspect to all of these goals.

Vlahovic has never managed to score against Inter at their home stadium.

As the Gazzetta note, Vlahovic has scored against Inter twice in Serie A.

The first of these goals came for Fiorentina. The Serb was prolific for La Viola, and so it’s no surprise that he’d be on the scoresheet against Inter.

But this goal came in Tuscany. Vlahovic scored against Inter at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Then when he joined Juventus, Vlahovic had the responsibility of bringing his goalscoring form from Fiorentina with him and becoming the Bianconeri’s attacking talisman.

There is a certain sense that, while Vlahovic has certainly gotten his share of goals in Turin, he has never quite lived up to expectations so far.

But the Serb did score against Inter in his first half-season at Juventus after a January move.

However, this goal came in the Coppa Italia final. Inter went on to win that match 3-2 in extra time – and it was at the Stadio Olimpico.

Last campaign, meanwhile, Vlahovic was on the scoresheet against Inter for the first time in Serie A.

The Serb netted the opener in a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Stadium.

This was an important goal. But once again, it did not come at the San Siro.
