Two stars of the Paris Saint-Germain women's team received gongs at the annual end of season awards ceremony on Monday 28 April at the Pavillon Dauphine in the French capital.
Firstly, Tara Elimbi Gilbert received the Rising Star Trophy ahead of Kessya Bussy (Paris FC) and Lucie Calba (Stade de Reims). The Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate becomes the fourth Rouge et Bleue player to receive the award after Grace Geyoro (2017), Marie-Antoinette Katoto (2018 et 2019) and Sandy Baltimore (2021).
Having signed her first professional contract last July, Tara Elimbi Gilbert was also named in the 2024-25 Team of the Year, alongside teammate Sakina Karchaoui. It's the fourth season in a row that Karchaoui has featured in the Team of the Year. Congratulations to both our Rouge et Bleue stars!
'I'm overjoyed,' Tara told PSG TV after receiving her award. 'I'm so happy to receive this trophy and I'd like to thank my teammates and the coaching staff who help me improve every day.'
'It's always a great source of pride to be recognised like this,' Sakina declared to PSG TV. 'Tara is also in the Team of the Year and received the Rising Star award. It's the reward for a lot of hard work. But we are already looking beyond this, we're not stopping here!'
