Under-pressure Julen Lopetegui has called on the club to be active in the January transfer window.

Whether the Head Coach remains to be in charge for the next month remains to be seen, especially considering key player and captain Jarrod Bowen is set for a spell on the side-lines.

“Jarrod is our captain and one of our big players, but we have to be able to find a solution,” the under-fire Head Coach told the media, as reported by the clubs

“This is the moment for the others players to show that they are ready to help us, and that their answer is going to be good.

“We are looking for the shortest possible recovery time for Jarrod, but in the same way we are believing in the other players in the squad, who will be looking to take advantage of their opportunity.”

When asked about the upcoming transfer window, Lopetegui pointed the finger very much at the club to find the solutions with pressure significantly mounting on all at the club to turn this season around.

“The Club knows our needs and they are focused on working on that,” added the Spaniard. “I have to be focused on preparations for the next match.

“I don’t want to talk about the transfer market, because the Club is going to do that work, and the players who are not here aren’t going to be able to help us in our next match.”
