Dino Toppmoller has announced a relatively clean bill of health in terms of Eintracht Frankfurt personnel ahead of Sunday’s clash with Holstein Kiel.

The 44-year-old head coach said they will have to do without Robin Koch and Igor Matanovic who are sidelined with shoulder and foot injuries respectively.

Elsewhere, midfielder Ellyes Skhiri took a blow to the ribs in last weekend’s duel with VfL Wolfsburg and remains a doubt. The Tunisian was replaced by Oscar Hojlund in the 75th-minute.

“Even though Ellyes Skhiri is an important player for us, we should be able to compensate for that,” Toppmoller added.

Die Adler’s head coach had some positives to mention, with winter signing Elye Wahi singled out for praise having impressed in training.

“Wahi’s training impressions are very positive. In the internal test, he scored two goals and showed strong offensive moves. You can see he feels very comfortable in the group and is well integrated,” said the German boss.

Finally, it appears 19-year-old Can Uzun could feature heavily in Sunday’s showdown with Holstein Kiel at the Deutsche-Bank Park.

“For us, Can is a player who has the quality to be on the pitch like everyone else. He has proven that in recent weeks. I was very happy with him. He has a good chance of being in the starting eleven tomorrow,” Toppmoller expressed.

Frankfurt’s manager concluded by declaring his team’s eagerness to win and experience that feeling of victory again on home soil.
