Continuing their string of renewals, FC Barcelona have successfully extended the contract of teenage sensation Lamine Yamal until 2031.
The youngster signed the contract today at the club offices, confirms Fabrizio Romano.
Just 17 years old, Lamine has already established himself as one of the best players in the world, playing a key role in the Catalans’ domestic treble triumph this season.
Lamine’s previous contract stood to expire in 2026, although an agreement to further extend his deal once he turned 18 was already in place.
Given his meteoric rise to the top, Barcelona have not wasted any time in renewing his contract, offering him improved terms, which, including all add-ons, could make him one of the highest earners in the squad.
Lamine Yamal’s new contract also comes with a mammoth release clause of €1 billion and will become official once he turns 18 years old in July.
With the new contract signing, the youngster is also expected to be handed the No. 10 shirt at Barcelona for next season.
