Lazio are reportedly keeping an eye on Alvyn Sanches, a young midfielder who is beginning to hit his stride in Switzerland.
The Biancocelesti will be looking to bolster their midfield department with a new signing in January to increase the depth, while Gaetano Castrovilli’s future looks anything but certain. We have already illustrated five of the profiles on Angelo Fabiani’s shortlist (Atangana, Belahyane, Casadei, Fazzini and Koné), but it seems that a new name has been added.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the Aquile are also monitoring Sanches who is earning the plaudits for his mesmerizing displays in the Swiss league this season. The 21-year-old has been sharpening his skills at Lausanne-Sport since joining the club in 2020, and has now established himself as a true protagonist in the middle of the park.
The youngster primarily plays as a central midfielder but can push further up the pitch if required, especially thanks to his natural eye for goal, as evidenced by the stats he registered this season (9 goals and three assists in 21 appearances). Sanches was born in France and has been representing Switzerland on the U21 level, but also holds Portuguese citizenship. His contract with Lausanne will expire in June 2026, and his market value is estimated at circa €4 million.
