Lazio forward Boulaye Dia believes that AC Milan should have had another red card given to them during Sunday night’s game.

The fall-out continues regarding the officiating during the match at San Siro, starting with the red shown to Strahinja Pavlovic for what the referee claimed to be a DOGSO (Denial of Goal Scoring Opportunity) despite two of the criteria not being met.

Then, there was what ultimately decided the game. Deep into added time Gustav Isaksen darted to the byline and as Mike Maignan rushed out to stop him, the winger went down despite having effectively kicked the ball into touch and carried on running into the goalkeeper.

Pavlovic’s suspension was upheld by the Sporting Judge, and it emerged yesterday that the Frenchman has been given a one-game ban for something he said to the referee in the tunnel at full-time.

Dia spoke at a press conference on the eve of the Biancocelesti’s Europa League match against Viktoria Plzen and he was asked about the incident involving Yunus Musah where he went down as the last man.

“I spoke to Musah, he says he touched me and for me that was a red card. I was in front of him, he touched me and that was a foul,” he said (via MilanPress).
