Lazio will be gunning for their second Europa League victory in as many outings when they host Nice in Rome.
The clash takes place at the Stadio Olimpico and kicks off on Thursday at 18:45 CET.
For the second week in a row, Marco Baroni will drop several key players from his starting lineup for the European encounter, making room for some of those who haven’t been able to earn much playing in Serie A. Christos Mandas could finally make his first appearance of the season, replacing Ivan Provedel.
Patric should overcome a slight knock to team up with Mario Gila at the back, while Adam Marusic and Luca Pellegrini give a breather to Manuel Lazzari and Nuno Tavares. In midfield, Matias Vercino and Matteo Gundouzi will start behind Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, while Loum Tchaouna and Pedro take the wings.
Taty Castellanos should lead the line while Boulaye Dia gets some well-deserved rest. Tijjani Noslin is suspended after receiving his marching orders last week against Dynamo Kyiv, and it remains to be seen if Samuel Gigot will be fit enough for a place on the bench.
Lazio (4-2-3-1): Mandas; Marusic, Patric, Gila, Pellegrini; Guendouzi, Vecino; Tchaouna, Dele-Bashiru, Pedro; Castellanos.
Frank Haise will have to do without the injured Gaetan Laborde, Melvin Bard, Morgan Sanson and Tarem Moffi. The French manager will rely on Poland international Marcin Bulka between the posts, while 40-year-old Dante should start at the back alongside, Youssouf Ndayishimiye and Moise Bambito.
The experienced Jonathan Clauss and Ali Abdi will take the wingback slots, while Pablo Rosario and Hicham Boudaoui form up the double pivot. Borussia Dortmund’s loaned-out wonderkid Youssoufa Moukoko should spearhead the attack supported by former Sassuolo man Jeremie Boga and Evann Guessand.
Nice (3-4-3): Bulka; Ndayishimiye, Bombito, Dante; Clauss, Boudaoui, Rosario, Abdi; Boga, Moukoko, Guessand.
