A leading member of the summer transfer wishlist at La Liga giants Barcelona has provided a fresh insight into his plans for the months ahead.

The player in question? Joan García.

The name of shot-stopper Joan has of course stood out as an altogether prominent one in the headlines across Catalunya over the course of the last week.

This comes amid the widespread understanding that Barcelona have identified the 24-year-old as a priority signing for the summer.

Fresh off nothing short of a spectacular campaign at the RCDE Stadium, Joan is considered a star in the making by those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou.

So much so that an official proposal on the part of the Blaugrana for the Spaniard is expected any day now.

Speaking during a recent interview with Tot Gira of ‘Catalunya Ràdio’ (as cited by Mundo Deportivo), it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his future was quickly put to Joan once more.

And the shot-stopper displayed confidence in his response, explaining:

“It doesn’t depend solely on me. It depends on many factors: it depends on the clubs, and obviously on me as well. But I’m very clear about it. Whatever I decide, whatever it is, I’ll do it with 100% conviction, without any doubt. And if I have to wait a little longer, so be it. But I’ll do it with conviction.”
