A headline member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has this evening forwarded a message of support the way of young teammate Joan Martínez.
This comes, for those who may have missed it, after stopper Martínez was dealt nothing short of a hammer blow on the injury front.
Fresh off breaking into the first-team picture at Real Madrid at just 16 years of age this summer, the Spaniard was today ruled out for what is likely to be the entirety of the campaign.
The latest victim of what is quickly beginning to look like a curse in Madrid, Joan, after being forced out of training, was diagnosed with a torn ACL.
Messages of support, in turn, have since flooded in for the starlet, as all of a Blancos persuasion rally behind him on what is no doubt a difficult evening.
And, as alluded to above, a short time ago, such messages were added to by one of the more high-profile members of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
Taking to his official Instagram account, Antonio Rüdiger unveiled a photo of his young teammate, accompanied by the caption:
‘Cheer up little brother @joaanmartineez’
