Lee O'Connor leaves Celtic on loan

Celtic have farmed young defender Lee O’Connor out in order to gain much-needed first team experience.

The Irishman arrived last summer from Manchester United as a highly-regarded prospect but has yet to make a senior appearance.

On Tuesday evening, the Hoops confirmed that he has joined Partick Thistle on loan for the rest of the season.

Despite not making a first team appearance as yet in his career, the 19-year-old was capped by the Republic of Ireland late last year.
