Leeds have confirmed the sale of Spanish forward Rodrigo to Qatari All Stars side Al-Rayyan for a reported fee of around £3m.
The future of the 32-year-old has been the subject of speculation since the club’s relegation from the Premier League and he has now made the move to Qatar.
Rodrigo becomes the latest player to leave Leeds as they prepare for life in the Championship.
American midfielder Brendan Aaronson has joined Bundesliga side Union Berlin on a season-long loan, while defender Robin Koch has returned home in another loan arrangement, signing for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Other high-profile exits have also been sealed via loans, with Diego Llorente returning to Roma for a second loan spell and his fellow Spaniard Marc Roca joining Real Betis for the upcoming campaign.
Having joined Leeds from Valencia for a reported £30m upon the club’s promotion in 2020, Rodrigo made 97 appearances for the club and scored 28 goals, top-scoring for them in his final season.
