Leicester fans justified in leaving King Power empty | OneFootball

At a certain point, enough is enough for Leicester fans. It's one thing to not stay up, but the way this side has repeatedly been uncompetitive in Premier League matches is beyond unacceptable. King Power saw a significant number of supporters leave early within the first half, and those who did so cannot be blamed whatsoever.

Some may point to the better second half of play as a sign to leave room for optimism. This simply cannot be the case at this point. Conceding early goals and then apparently primarily looking to find Jamie Vardy over the top saw this latest 3-0 defeat at home to Newcastle as far more than a one-off defeat.

The inability to keep the game within reach after even 10 minutes of play is embarrassing. A deserved relegation to the Championship is coming. Yes, the Foxes will finish above Southampton in the standings, but that too can't serve as consolation. There is so much wrong with the club's approach. It will be better served for LCFC if they spend a number of years at the lower level and get things right.

Another quick promotion by getting wins against the clubs with vastly fewer resources should impress anyone, and the fool's gold shouldn't trick anyone at this point either. Everyone who left early at King Power did the right thing, and the message needs to continue to be sent to those in charge at the club.

Significant changes needed throughout Leicester

Past successes aren't there to point to after yet another goal without City even scoring a goal. More to the point, the bounces within the box, lack of hustle after the ball hit the crossbar, and self-inflicted mistakes show how much is wrong within the current system.
