Over 2.5 Liverpool goals (1/1 with Midnite)

Liverpool have scored three goals in each of their past three games against Leicester across all competitions. Liverpool are inching closer to the title with every game, whilst Leicester are perilously close to returning to the Championship and Liverpool should be dominating this tie. Liverpool are the top scorers in the division, with 74 goals, whilst Leicester have conceded more than any other side apart from bottom placed Southampton, seeing their net breached 72 times.

Corner Handicap: Liverpool -2 (1/2 with William Hill)

Liverpool have averaged 6.42 corners per game in the Premier League this season, compared to Leicester’s 3.81. The Foxes have also conceded an average of 6.19 corners per game. Liverpool should see plenty of the ball and, with the attacking talent at their disposal, should produce a good number of chances. Some desperate defending from Leicester could see Liverpool rack up the corners and this looks like a really safe bet, especially at odds of 1/2.

Leicester vs Liverpool Odds

How both teams go into Leicester vs Liverpool

Leicester are on their way back to the Championship. The Foxes are 17 points from safety with six games left to play, and would be relegated with defeat against Liverpool. Ruud van Nistelrooy’s appointment hasn’t worked for Leicester, who are currently on the worst home run in English Football League history. Leicester have lost each of their past eight home league games, all without scoring.

The only way Leicester will escape relegation is by winning all of their remaining six games and seeing West Ham fail to pick up more than a single point from their last fixtures. It’s an incredibly unlikely turn of events but Leicester won’t give up until they are mathematically down. They showed plenty of fight in their 2-2 draw with Brighton but it looks to be too little, too late for the Foxes.

A title-chasing Liverpool are not the team they’d have wanted to face next at the King Power. The Reds have lost just two games all season, though one of those was a recent defeat to Fulham. It was Liverpool’s first away league defeat of the season, but Arne Slot’s side aren’t expected to make a habit of it. Liverpool are the best away team in the league this season, taking 35 points from their 16 games on the road so far — seven more than any other team.

Liverpool could mathematically win the title this weekend but they’d need to secure victory here as well as seeing Arsenal fall to defeat against Ipswich earlier in the day on Sunday. What looks more likely is securing the title in front of the Anfield crowd next weekend, when they play Spurs.

Leicester team news

Facundo Buonanotte will be available for selection having been unable to face parent club Brighton and Hove Albion in the preceding match. But Abdul Fatawu is a long-term absentee.

Liverpool team news

This game will be too soon for both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez, though both are expected to return in the coming weeks.

Leicester vs Liverpool head-to-head

Liverpool have won their past five games against Leicester across all competitions. It’s their best such run in this fixture for almost 30 years (also five games). Liverpool have never won six consecutive games against Leicester.
