RC Lens are set to sign Colombian attacking midfielder Óscar Cortés (19). He will sign from Colombian club Millonarios, according to journalist Pipe Sierra and L’Équipe.
According to Sierra, the deal already concluded and Cortés will sign a deal with Le Sang et Or running until June 2028. He will sign for a €4.5m fee, whilst will be enough to purchase 70%-80% of the player’s rights. The remainder of the rights will remain with the Colombian club. The deal will reportedly be concluded in the coming days, according to L’Équipe.
Cortés has featured 24 times for the Colombian U20 side, scoring 11 goals in that time. For Millionaros, Cortés has six goals and three assists in 18 games in all competitions this season, including one goal in the Copa Sudamericana.
Having finished second in Ligue 1 last season, Lens have qualified for the UEFA Champions League group stages for next season, and are therefore looking to add strength and depth to their current squad.
