Arsenal registered a stunning 5-1 Premier League win over Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The Gunners went into the game in a must-win situation, considering they were nine points adrift of leaders Liverpool.
They made the perfect start with Martin Odegaard finding the net after just two minutes on the clock.
Kai Havertz, who assisted Odegaard’s goal, squandered a clear-cut chance to double the lead in the 26th minute.
David Raya ensured Arsenal went into the break with a 1-0 advantage after two exceptional saves.
Erling Haaland brought City back into the game with a fine header, but their joy was shortlived.
Thomas Partey scored less than two minutes later. Arsenal went on to win 5-1 with Myles Lewis-Skelly bagging his maiden goal.
The 18-year-old has been a revelation from left-back for the Gunners since his debut, and he was exceptional against City.
He had a passing accuracy of 92 percent, winning 100 percent of his tackles and dribbles.
Lewis-Skelly also won eight out of nine duels contested, losing possession just four times. He capped the display with a sublime goal.
Following the game, the teenager expressed his delight on Instagram after scoring at the senior level for the first time.
Several Arsenal players praised him including midfield duo Declan Rice and Thomas Partey.
Partey urged him to ‘keep going’ while Rice replied ‘levels’.

Lewis-Skelly played as a midfielder during his early career in the academy, but he has adapted brilliantly to a defensive role since his first-team debut.
His form has encouraged manager Mikel Arteta to pick up over Riccardo Calafiori, who scored the winning goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Lewis-Skelly’s immense potential is evident. Arsenal are getting the best out of their academy with Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri breaking out this term.
