Levi Colwill was full of praise for Tyrique George following Chelsea’s win against Southampton on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues returned to winning ways with a convincing 4-0 win against the Saints in what will surely give Enzo Maresca’s men a confidence boost.
Christopher Nkunku opened the scoring, before Pedro Neto and Cowill added further first half goals, with Marc Cucurella scoring the only goal of the second half.
Maresca continued with Pedro Neto down the middle, whilst Jadon Sancho came in for Reece James, with Nkunku and Cole Palmer making up the attack.
That meant no start for the promising George, who Romeo Lavia highlighted as player for the fans to look out for.
Unlike against Aston Villa, George did make it off the bench and he looked sharp and a constant threat for the Blues.

The 19-year-old was rewarded with his first Premier League assist after some good work down the right hand side, and he cut the ball back for Cucurella to apply the finishing touch.
George showed what he’s about, and he will likely get more opportunities between now and the end of the season given the indefinite absence of Mykhailo Mudryk, and the hamstring injury to Noni Madueke.
The winger was promoted to the first team squad earlier this season and Colwill admitted after the game he was really proud the youngster got an assist.
“He is very very sharp,” he told TNT Sports.
“He is an amazing player who has a future ahead of him. I am really proud he got an assist.”
