FC Barcelona arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu and stripped away Real Madrid of all their pride. Any hint of cockiness or confidence that lingered was also taken away from them. Hansi Flick’s Barcelona also renders them unable to take away La Blaugrana’s unbeaten record in La Liga, and rather poetically so by beating them by themselves.

An unbelievable 4-0 scoreline, one which included a sensational brace from Robert Lewandowski, and two world-class goals from Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. Real Madrid have been broken and bruised at the Santiago Bernabeu, and Hansi Flick is the architect of their demise.

Here are the Barcelona player ratings.

Player Ratings:

Inaki Pena: 9.0

Some top saves from Inaki Pena were crucial for FC Barcelona to get away with the score that they did. A top-class performance from the Spaniard and one that will definitely settle the nerves regarding the goalkeeper.

Jules Kounde: 7.5

Did his best against Kylian Mbappe and limited his fellow Frenchman’s influence on the match. Solid defending and did have some impact moving forward as well.

Pau Cubarsi: 9.0

Forget about teenage defenders, Pau Cubarsi is among the world’s very best already. What a performance from the La Masia talent who handled both Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe like a man on a mission. His ball-playing, simultaneously, was also superb.

Inigo Martinez: 8.5

What a clean sheet for both Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi. A complete domination over the Real Madrid attack both through their brilliant offside traps and also through some robust defending that Los Blancos simply could not bypass.

Alejandro Balde: 8.5

The gem on the left flank continued to run up and down the field to torment Real Madrid as much as he wanted to. Ultimately, he also managed to register a beautiful assist that came through a cross perfectly placed on top of Robert Lewandowski for him to grab his second goal.

Marc Casado: 8.5

The perfect line-breaking pass from Marc Casado that gave Barcelona the opener was all that his team needed to calm their nerves. A solid performance in midfield, the Spaniard’s influence was great for Barça.

Pedri: 8.5

What a performance from Pedri in this Clasico. Easily the most influential midfielder on the pitch, his mazy runs, and dribbles, coupled with his composed distribution, enabled Barcelona to exploit Real Madrid and get back in control of the game later.

Lamine Yamal: 9.0

Almost makes every single Barcelona fan giggle and cry with excitement. Lamine Yamal, take a bow. His goal for Barça made every single fan of the club jump on their feet, and I was one of them. World-class player, the rightful heir to the prestigious legacy of La Masia, and what a goal to top off an amazing performance.

Fermin Lopez: 6.5

Did not have the same kind of impact that he had in the last game, but a decent early shift from Fermin Lopez. Was replaced by Frenkie de Jong for the second half and it completely changed the game.

Raphinha: 9.0

A top-class performance from Raphinha once again, as he not only managed to register a great assist for Lamine Yamal but also ended up scoring a beautiful chipped goal over the head of the Real Madrid goalkeeper. Sensational play once again from the Barcelona captain.

Robert Lewandowski: 9.0

Thanks to his sensational brace and ability to constantly draw fouls from Real Madrid, Robert Lewandowski can be forgiven for the rather easy chances that he missed. However, since he buried the more difficult ones past Lunin, he deserves his flowers.

Substitutes:

Frenkie de Jong: 7.5

Completely changed the game once he came on and helped Barcelona establish some much-needed control. Thanks to that, they ended up scoring four goals in the second half.

Dani Olmo: 7.5

Similar to how De Jong changed the game, Dani Olmo specifically ended up making the Barcelona attack so much more potent and efficient. What a return for him as well.

Gavi: N/A

Not enough time or influence on the field to warrant a rating.
