Having come through Bristol City’s youth academy and been an England U21 international, Rosenior spent several seasons playing in the Premier League, enjoying spells at Fulham, Reading, Hull City and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Following the end of his professional playing career, Liam took up a position as assistant manager of Brighton’s U23s before becoming Derby County’s first-team assistant manager and then interim head coach. Between 2022 and 2024, he managed Hull City’s first team in the EFL Championship.
He will be supported by Justin Walker, Kalifa Cissé et Issame Charaï.
“We’re happy to welcome Liam – a young manager renowned for his ability to get his teams playing well and to improve his players – to the club. His arrival will help Racing to keep growing, and we wish him a warm welcome to Alsace,” said chairman Marc Keller and the club’s board of directors.
“I’m happy to be joining Racing, a historic French club with fans that are well-known for their passion and their loyalty,” declared Rosenior. “I’ll do everything that I can to make La Meinau proud of its team and of its players, and I can’t wait to arrive in Alsace and to get down to work.”
