Levante Badalona 0-0 Costa Adeje Tenerife

Tenerife were forced to play the majority of Saturday’s contest with ten players after Fatou Dembele was shown a straight red card in the 31st minute. The 23-year-old fouled Macarena Portales and the referee ultimately ruled that she was the last defender. Tenerife went on to produce a resolute defensive display to frustrate the hosts and collect a hard-fought point. While they would have been underwhelmed with a point, Badalona will be pleased to head into the international break in fourth place.

Granada 1-2 Real Betis

Betis required just four minutes to open the scoring in Saturday’s away clash against Granada. Rosa Márquez fired the ball home from a goalmouth scramble following a corner. Granada were given the chance to equalise when the referee pointed to the spot following a foul on Alexia Fernández. Edna Imade kept her composure to send Paula Vizoso the wrong way to level the scoreline. Granada were only level until the 75th minute when Carla Armengol’s effort found a way past Laura Sanchez at the near post. The visitors saw out the remainder of the contest to clinch their first win of the season.

Atlético Madrid 1-0 Real Sociedad

Atleti maintained their unbeaten start to the Liga F season with a narrow win over Real Sociedad. The hosts put together a slick move to work the ball to Rosa Otermín, who fired a low left-foot shot into the bottom corner. Otermín’s first Liga F goal proved enough to clinch all three points and end Real Sociedad’s four-game winning run.

Sevilla 1-0 Espanyol

Espanyol’s Lice Chamorro threatened to break the deadlock when she struck the post in the second half. However, it was the hosts who found the vital breakthrough in the 73rd minute. Fatou Kanteh tapped the ball home from close range after Romane Salvador failed to push a corner away from danger. Sevilla saw out the remaining minutes to clinch their third league win of the season. As for the visitors, they head into the international break on the back of consecutive defeats.

Athletic Club 1-1 Valencia

The contest remained goalless until the referee pointed to the penalty following a foul on Nahikari García in the second half. García stepped up to dispatch the subsequent spot-kick to register her second goal of the season. Despite falling behind, Valencia showed great character to rescue a precious point. Substitute Vitória Almeida fired home from a rebound after Alice Marques headed against the crossbar. While they ended a five-game losing run, Valencia are still rooted to the bottom of the table.

Eibar 0-0 Deportivo La Coruña

Eibar carried the greater threat in Sunday’s contest despite having less possession than the visitors. The hosts registered 10 shots, including five on target. Margherita Monnecchi also struck the woodwork in the closing stages of the encounter. However, Eibar had to be content with a share of the spoils, leaving them without a win in five matches.

Levante 1-4 Barcelona

Vicky López required just 13 minutes to open the scoring at the Estadi Ciutat de València. The 18-year-old rounded Andrea Tarazona before she slotted the ball into the unguarded net. Levante then pulled themselves back level in rather fortuitous circumstances. Daniela Arques’ fierce strike hit the post before it bounced off Cata Coll and into the net. Unfortunately for Levante, they were only level for 13 minutes until Kika Nazareth scored her first Barcelona goal to restore the visitors’ lead. The former Benfica player thumped a left-foot shot past the helpless Tarazona. Nazareth then struck the woodwork in the opening two minutes of the second half before Clàudia Pina tucked home from the rebound. Defender Irene Paredes headed home from a corner to wrap up another comfortable victory.

Madrid CFF 0-1 Real Madrid

Real Madrid needed just one goal to claim maximum points in their derby clash with Madrid CFF. Signe Bruun got across her marker to poke the ball in from Melanie Leupolz’s cross. Las Blancas were unable to add to Bruun’s early effort, but they stood firm at the opposite end of the pitch to record their sixth win of the Liga F season. As for the hosts, they have now lost their last five matches in a row.
