Meanwhile, Aston Villa cruised comfortably past Club Brugge with a 6-1 aggregate win. Furthermore, the Premier League side should be motivated to face the Ligue 1 side, considering Unai Emery and Marco Asensio want some type of payback to haunt the Parisians.

Ligue 1 manager has high praise for PSG in the Champions League

RC Strasbourg Alsace manager Liam Rosenior believes Paris Saint-Germain has what it takes to win the Champions League this season, telling AFP he’s backing them to go all the way.

“For me, PSG are the favourites to win the Champions League. They are the best team in Europe at the minute,” Rosenior told AFP (h/t Get French Football News).

Should PSG advance past Aston Villa, it could set up a date with Kylian Mbappe, their all-time leading goal scorer. Real Madrid will face Arsenal, so there’s the possibility of facing a third Premier League club or the juicy matchup with Mbappe.
