Lille winger ‘one to watch’ in summer window with José Mourinho among admirers | OneFootball

Alan Virginius (22) is enjoying a successful loan spell in Switzerland with Young Boys and is now garnering interest from Fenerbahçe and specifically José Mourinho, according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Virginius struggled to break through at Lille OSC since joining from formative club Sochoau back in the summer of 2022, with a brief loan spell at Clermont Foot in the second half of last season failing to re-ignite his career. However, he has impressed while on loan at Young Boys, scoring seven goals and registering three assists in 34 matches in all competitions.

Despite his LOSC contract running until 2027, Virginuis could leave the club in the summer amid interest from Fenerbahçe’s Mourinho. The Portuguese manager is looking to offload Allan Saint-Maximin and is in the market for a replacement. Mouringo is a particular fan of the France youth international and is keen to lodge a bid to bring him to Turkey this summer.
