Liverpool are interested in signing David Hancko from Feyenoord.
That is according to TuttoJuve, which has reported that Liverpool are among the clubs who are following Hancko, who can operate as a centre-back or as a left-back.
Hancko worked with Liverpool manager Arne Slot when the latter was in charge of Feyenoord.
TuttoJuve has added that Italian club Juventus are also following the 27-year-old Slovakia international defender.
Hancko is one of the best defenders in the Eredivisie and has been superb for Feyenoord over the years.
The Slovakia international helped Feyenoord win the Eredivisie title in 2022-23 and the KNVB Cup in the 2023-24 campaign.
Slot worked with Hancko, who has played 11 times as a left-back and 24 times as a centre-back for Feyenoord this season.
The defender has scored two goals and given one assist in 18 Eredivisie matches and has found the back of the net once in seven appearances in the UEFA Champions League this campaign.
Liverpool could do with a new left-back. Andy Robertson is not the player he once was, and Konstantinos Tsimikas is not good enough to be the number one for the Merseyside club. Milos Kerkez has also been linked with a move to Anfield.
The Reds are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 53 points from 22 matches.
The Merseyside club are six points above second-placed Arsenal, who have played 23 games.
Liverpool have also progressed to the Round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League this campaign.
Slot’s side have won all seven of their games in Europe’s premier club competition, scoring 15 goals and providing two assists in the process.
Liverpool, who beat Ipswich Town 4-1 at Anfield in the Premier League this past weekend, will take on PSV away from home in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening.
