With Milan Skriniar now at Fenerbahçe SK, Paris Saint-Germain may be on the lookout for a new center-back, either in January or next summer.

Badé’s rise hasn’t gone unnoticed, as French national team coach Didier Deschamps included him in the squad for the October international break, signaling his increasing importance.

Top clubs are keeping an eye on the defender, with a previous report from SPORT revealing that Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and PSG all showed interest last fall.

Recently, Diario AS added Liverpool to the list of suitors, reporting that the Premier League club see him as a possible successor to Virgil van Dijk. Scouts from Liverpool were even spotted at Sevilla’s match against Barcelona at Montjuïc in October.

On Saturday, Badé confirmed that the Aston Villa deal is off: “I’m staying at Sevilla, yes. I fully trust this project.”

Aston Villa had been eyeing a move for Badé following the sale of Diego Carlos to Fenerbahçe, with plans to strengthen their defense ahead of the January transfer deadline, as reported by CaughtOffside. The La Liga club set the player’s release clause at €60 million, but Villa’s opening bid was €21 million, plus €4 million in add-ons.

However, TBR Football’s Chief Correspondent Graeme Bailey reported on Thursday that Villa is now prepared to pull out of the deal. As a result, the Premier League club will shift focus to other targets, while Badé has chosen to stay in Spain.
