Liverpool are keen on recruiting the services of Southampton attacking midfielder Tyler Dibling and Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike and have been scouting the duo, according to the Daily Mail.
The Anfield club had representatives running the rule over the Saints star on Saturday when England under-19s took on Turkey under-19s, but landing the 19-year-old this summer could be tricky as his club are ready to demand a staggering fee of more than £100 million from suitors.
Liverpool are not the only club keen on Dibling, with Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig also keeping tabs on the teenage sensation.
However, whether the Reds are willing to spend £100m on a 19-year-old attacker remains to be seen given their need to also bolster their forward ranks.
They could look to replace Darwin Nunez following his constant struggles, and Ekitike has continued to catch their eyes having weighed in with 19 goals in 38 appearances for the Bundesliga club so far this season.
The 22-year-old Frenchman impressed on international duty for France under-19s last Friday, bagging a hat-trick in the 5-3 win over a star-studded England team.
The 6ft 3in former Paris Saint-Germain is also being monitored by a couple of bigwigs in Europe, but a move to Liverpool could appeal to him if Nunez is sold.
The Reds could do with an upgrade in the striking department, and Ekitike fits the bill given his huge potential and style of play.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot wants to bolster his squad in the summer after watching their dreams to win a treble end within the space of a few days following the elimination from the Champions League at the hands of PSG and the Carabao Cup final defeat to Newcastle, and landing both Dibling and the Frankfurt number 9 could be perfect.
