Paris Saint-Germain rolled past LOSC Lille with a commanding 4-1 win Saturday night at the Parc des Princes, sealing the victory with a dominant first half in which they scored all four goals.
PSG struck early, with Bradley Barcola opening the scoring in the sixth minute. Barcola set up Ousmane Dembele for a curling shot that was parried by goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, but he was quickest to the rebound and slotted it home.
The hosts kept pushing. In the 22nd minute, Marquinhos doubled the lead, heading in a cross at the far post after the ball deflected off Chevalier’s post. Six minutes later, Dembele got on the scoresheet, finishing a pinpoint pass from Joao Neves with a smooth side-footed shot past Chevalier.
The best goal of the night came just before halftime. As Lille tried to regroup, Desire Doue unleashed a rocket into the top corner, leaving Chevalier with no chance and capping off a dominant PSG display.

After PSG’s impressive win over Lille, DAZN’s Walid Acherchour said Liverpool are the favorites in their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash. However, he noted that the Reds are in for a tough challenge, as PSG are firing on all cylinders.
“It’s true that in the first half, both technically and tactically, they were unstoppable,” Acherchour said. “It’s a team that played its football in the best possible way. For me, the most striking thing was the first half, where individually and collectively, they conceded nothing.
“They could have scored five or six goals if Chevalier hadn’t made some outstanding saves. Luis Enrique’s management was perfect—his handling of minutes, his team selections.
“We’re really eager to see what happens on Wednesday, but I truly believe that PSG can look Liverpool in the eye. For me, Liverpool are the favorites, but PSG have done the work to be ready for this showdown.”
Over the past two years, PSG have shifted their approach, focusing on a strong collective unit rather than relying on star power—and Lille’s Bafodé Diakité has taken notice. His comments also serve as a warning to Liverpool about what to expect from the Parisians.
