Paris Saint-Germain showed interest in Dean Huijsen last summer as part of their defensive rebuild, but the Spanish center-back ended up joining AFC Bournemouth. If PSG makes another move for him, they’ll face stiff competition.

While PSG added Willian Pacho to strengthen their backline, Milan Skriniar is expected to make his loan to Fenerbahçe permanent, which could leave them in the market for another center-back this summer.

On Wednesday, TEAMtalk reported, citing sources, that Liverpool are increasing their interest in Huijsen, as the defender checks three key boxes for Arne Slot’s squad: age, ability, and availability—factors that make him an appealing target.

However, the report states that Bournemouth will insist on his full release clause being met, though they would prefer to keep him for a few more seasons.

A recent report from CaughtOffside says that Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG are all eyeing 19-year-old Huijsen.

He has a release clause of about £50 million, which could go up if he agrees to a new contract with Bournemouth.
