Premier League leaders looking to maintain or extend title advantage at Anfield
Liverpool will be heavy favourites to beat Ipswich in the Premier League today.
The struggling Tractor Boys were thumped 6-0 at home by Manchester City last time out, and now face likely their toughest task of the entire campaign with a visit to Anfield.
The Reds have one of the most impressive home records in the league this season and will be confident of extending that run at the same time as Arsenal, their biggest title rivals, are away at relegation-threatened Wolves.
High-flying Nottingham Forest - also six points adrift of leaders Liverpool in third - face a tricky test on the road at in-form Bournemouth.
Arne Slot’s side are top of the Premier League table and warmed up for this one by beating Lille 2-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday night, securing automatic qualification for the last 16.
Liverpool vs Ipswich is scheduled for a 3pm GMT kick-off time today on Saturday January 25, 2025.
The match will take place at Anfield.
TV channel: In the UK, today’s game will not be televised live as it lands during the 3pm Saturday blackout.
Free highlights: The Sky Sports app and YouTube channel will show highlights from 5:15pm, with Match of the Day broadcasting on BBC One at 10:30pm.

Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Diaz
Subs: Kelleher, Endo, Nunez, Chiesa, Elliott, Tsimikas, Danns, Quansah, Bradley
Ipswich XI: Walton, Tuanzebe, O’Shea, Greaves, Davis, Morsy (C), Phillips, Burns, Hutchinson, Jaden, Delap.
Subs: Muric, Johnson, Townsend, Godfrey, Taylor, Luongo, Enciso, Broadhead, Hirst.
Liverpool will rightly be wondering how many they could score after seeing a supposedly struggling Man City side put six past Ipswich last weekend. A relatively rotated side in midweek means the Reds will be somewhat refreshed, and that will go a long way.
Arsenal are playing at the same time - a rarity this season - and Slot will want to make sure his team’s six-point lead at the top of the table is at least intact come 5pm.
