The UEFA Women’s Champions League is reaching its decisive knockout stages, with the quarter-final and semi-final draws set to take place in Nyon on Friday, 7th February at 1:00 PM CET.
FC Barcelona Femení, the defending champions and current holders of the UEFA No. 1 coefficient ranking, are among the seeded teams after winning Group D in dominant fashion.
As group winners, Barcelona join Chelsea, Arsenal, and Lyon in the seeded section of the draw. They will be matched against one of the group runners-up, with the restriction that they cannot face Manchester City, who were in their group. This leaves three possible opponents:
A potential El Clásico femenino against Real Madrid would undoubtedly be a highlight of the quarter-finals, while Wolfsburg remains a familiar opponent for Barcelona in recent seasons.
The quarter-final first legs are scheduled for 18/19 March, with the second legs on 26/27 March. The semi-final first legs will take place on 19/20 April, with the return legs on 26/27 April. The final will be held on 24th May at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon, Portugal.
The semi-final draw will be conducted immediately after the quarter-final draw, with no seedings or country protection. The home team for the final will also be determined by a draw.
