Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini was stopped by a group of supporters outside the gates of Trigoria earlier today.

Upon exiting the team’s training center, Pellegrini was asked to address the fans’ questions and discuss the difficult moment.

Caught on camera by Il Romanista, Pellegrini said, “The Roma colors are always respected, I always respect it. We have always respected everyone, sometimes things happen and sometimes they don’t but respect is never lacking on our part.”

“We never lacked respect for the coaches and above all for the shirt we wear. We also know that things aren’t going well, we are aware of it, but respect for Roma will never be lacking.”

“We are feeling bad just like you fans are feeling bad, it’s the truth. Otherwise I’ll say what you want to hear. I’m feeling bad, we are feeling bad, just like you are.”

“We’re not stupid nor do we pretend nothing is happening. We try to do everything we can, so when you say we lack respect for the colors, that I don’t agree with.”
