Lucas Hernández (28) has been out of action since suffering a serious anterior ligament injury during Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League semi-final against Borussia Dortmund in May.
It was an injury that required surgery and also saw him ruled out of Euro 2024. He has missed the start of the current campaign too, however, he is now nearing a return to first-team training, as per a report from Le Parisien.
Whilst Gonçalo Ramos and Prensel Kimpembe near their returns, the latter having missed nearly two years of competition at this point, Hernández is also close to a return to first-team training. Ahead of his projected recovery time, Le Parisien understands that he will make his return to first-team training next week, upon the return of players competing at international level.
The France international, who no longer feels any pain, has been training with PSG’s youth side over the course of the international break. It is a big step in Herández’s recovery, although both the player and Les Parisiens’ medical staff are not wanting to rush a return.
