Manchester United were unable to hold onto a late lead over Lyon in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday night, with the game finishing 2-2.
Thiago Almada had given Lyon the lead in the first half when his wide free-kick evaded everyone in the penalty area, including United goalkeeper Andre Onana.
But United fought back to score on the stroke of half-time through Leny Yoro - his first goal for the club since a summer arrival from Lille, before eventually taking the lead late on.
Ex-Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette was guilty of missing two good Lyon chances at 1-1, with Joshua Zirkzee popping up on 88 minutes. It wasn't enough to take an aggregate back to Old Trafford next Thursday, though, as Rayan Cherki ensured the first leg ended even deep into stoppage time.
