Lyon predicted XI v Strasbourg: Malick Fofana and Saël Kumbedi out | OneFootball

Olympique Lyonnais will be without Malick Fofana and Saël Kumbedi as they travel to face RC Strasbourg Alsace on Friday night.

Fofana suffered a sprained knee whilst on international duty with Belgium and, as per L’Équipe, is expected to miss three weeks of action. Not only will he miss Lyon’s match against Strasbourg this evening, he will also miss the first leg of the UEFA Europa League quarter-final against Manchester United.

Kumbedi, meanwhile, is suspended for the tie. Up front, it is expected to be Georges Mikautadze, rather than Alexandre Lacazette who leads the line for OL. Thiago Almada and Nicolás Tagliafico, both of whom have only just returned from international duty with Argentina, are expected to be given a breather and will therefore start from the bench.
