Olympique Lyonnais are pursuing a move for Union Saint-Gilloise midfielder Noah Sadiki (19), according to a report from L’Equipe. Lyon are in the market for midfielders and are already set to sign Venezia’s Tanner Tessmann (22). Pierre Sage’s midfield has been overrun in surprising proportions by Stade Rennais in their Ligue 1 season-opener with the Bretons inflicting a 3-0 defeat on Les Gones with Nemanja Matic, Orel Mangala and Maxence Caqueret all struggling badly.

The outlet understands that Sadiki would be keen to join Lyon. The DR Congo youth international is tied with Union Saint-Gilloise with a contract set to expire in 2027. L’Equipe adds that Lyon have submitted the Jupiler Pro League side a loan bid with an option to buy. Sacha Tavolieri understands that discussions between Lyon and Union Saint-Gilloise should instead focus on the basis of a permanent transfer for Sadiki with the midfielder offered a four-year deal.
