Lyon set to sign Real Betis’ Abner | OneFootball

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Olympique Lyonnais are set to complete the signing of Real Betis defender Abner (23).

Lyon invested significantly in January in order to stave off relegation. Players such as Nemanja Matic, Gift Orban, Orel Mangala, Saïd Benrahma and Malick Fofana all joined. The recruitment has wielded success, with OL steering clear of the relegation places and securing a place in the semi-finals of the Coupe de France.

Les Gones are already preparing their summer transfer business, according to Romano. An agreement with Real Betis for the transfer of Brazilian left-back Abner is close to being reached. The player himself has already agreed on personal terms with the Ligue 1 club and he therefore looks set to join the club when the summer transfer window opens on 1st July.

Brazil U23 international Abner has played a starring role for Real Betis since joining in January 2023. This season, he has played 23 times in all competitions.
