Newly re-signed striker appeared questionable for Portman Road trip
Erling Haaland is today fit to start for Manchester City against Ipswich.
Pep Guardiola’s previously crisis-stricken side had got back to winning ways up until Tuesday night, when the champions threw away a comfortable late lead at Brentford to leave only with a 2-2 draw.
It remains to be seen if Man City really have turned a corner of late or if there is a deeper issue at play in regards to their poor form this season.
It was initially feared that they may have to seek a result against struggling Ipswich without leading scorer Haaland - who has signed a mammoth new nine-and-a-half-year contract at the Etihad Stadium - as he was spotted going down on his haunches during the second half against the Bees.
Guardiola’s response to being asked if Haaland is fit on Friday was: “We will see, yesterday was a day off, now we are going to train, and we will see because some players finished [against Brentford] with some problems like every game. And we will see."
However, Haaland now looks to have shaken off any knock as he was pictured by the club training as usual later on Friday.
