Manchester United emerged victorious over Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Wednesday night, edging a five-goal thriller after leaning heavily on set-pieces.
It was just a fifth Premier League win for Ruben Amorim, since taking charge of his first game as United head coach – ironically against Ipswich – back in November. The result also ended a run of three league fixtures without a win that had left the Red Devils 15th in the table. Now, it's 14th.
Jaden Philogene opened the scoring early on for Ipswich, before an own goal from Sam Morsy and one from Matthijs de Ligt turned the game around in the first half.
Philogene struck again before the break to bring Ipswich back level, after Patrick Dorgu had been sent off for the hosts. But Harry Maguire's powerful header straight after the restart for the second half ultimately decided things in United's favour.
