Man Utd linked with new replacement for Andre Onana

Manchester United have made enquiries about a potential transfer for Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen, reports claim.
This supposed interest in a rival Premier League shot-stopper comes just as an unflattering spotlight is cast across the performances of Andre Onana. The former Inter goalkeeper did little to disprove Nemanja Matic's claim that he is "one of the worst goalkeepers in Man Utd history" with an error-riddled display against Lyon in Thursday's Europa League tie.
Onana was at fault for both goals United conceded in a 2-2 draw which leaves their quarter-final clash delicately poised ahead of next week's decisive second leg at Old Trafford. United head coach Ruben Amorim insisted that he is still "really confident" in the team's current number one, but various reports have claimed the club are considering a move for a new goalkeeper this summer.
Brighton's Verbruggen is the latest name to be added to a growing shortlist. Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport claim that United have "asked for information" on the Dutch international.
United's pursuit will be complicated by rival interest from Barcelona and Bayern Munich. If Brighton are compelled to let their 22-year-old first-choice goalkeeper leave, Verbruggen is expected to command a fee in the region of £60m.
That lofty figure - which would make Verbruggen the third-most expensive goalkeeper of all time - may prove to be out of United's rescaled price range. Espanyol's Joan Garcia represents a more affordable target at somewhere between €15m (£12.6m) and €25m (£20.9m) - although Arsenal are thought to be leading the race for the Spaniard's signature.
A move for Royal Antwerp's young Belgian phenom Senne Lammens has also been floated, while there has even been talk of bringing David de Gea back to Old Trafford after a renaissance season for Fiorentina.
Onana, reports suggest, is not keen on willingly slipping into the shadows. The Cameroon international is expected to fight for his place at United throughout the remainder of the season and over the summer.
