Manchester United have confirmed an unfortunate injury blow on Tuesday regarding Hinata Miyazawa.
The midfielder will be out long-term after suffering a fractured ankle while on international duty with Japan.
Miyazawa made headlines at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup after finishing as the Golden Boot winner.
However, the summer signing has now undergone surgery and the club have yet to confirm how long she’ll be out for.
It’s a massive blow for fourth-place United as they hope to make a run for the Women’s Super League title.
