Manchester City players set for key Nations League and World Cup clashes

Manchester City will have seven players representing their nations during the March international break, with key figures set to feature in UEFA Nations League quarter-finals and World Cup qualifiers.
Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovačić are in Croatia’s squad for their UEFA Nations League A quarter-final against France. The first leg takes place on Thursday in Split, with the return fixture in Saint-Denis on Saturday. The winner will face either the Netherlands or Spain in the semi-finals this June.
Rúben Dias and Bernardo Silva will represent Portugal in their UEFA Nations League A quarter-final against Denmark. The first leg is set for Thursday at Parken Stadium, with the return leg at Estádio José Alvalade on Sunday. The winner will move on to a one-off semi-final in June against either Italy or Germany.
Kevin De Bruyne and Jérémy Doku have been called up for Belgium’s UEFA Nations League A qualification tie against Ukraine. The first leg is scheduled for Thursday in Murcia, followed by the second leg in Genk on Saturday.
Phil Foden has been named in England’s squad for their World Cup qualifiers. The Three Lions begin their campaign against Albania at Wembley on Friday before hosting Latvia at the same venue on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Erling Haaland has been named in Norway’s squad as they kick off their World Cup qualifying campaign. Norway will first take on Moldova in Chisinau on Friday before heading to Debrecen for a clash against Israel on Monday.
Savinho is part of Brazil’s squad for their crucial World Cup qualifiers. Currently sitting fifth in the standings, Brazil will aim to strengthen their position as they take on Colombia in Brasília on Friday, followed by a high-stakes clash against Argentina in Buenos Aires on Wednesday (midnight GMT kickoff).
Omar Marmoush will represent Egypt in their World Cup qualifiers. Egypt, currently leading Group A in CAF qualifying, faces Ethiopia in Casablanca on Friday before taking on Sierra Leone on Monday. Marmoush is expected to play a key role in these decisive fixtures.
Abdukodir Khusanov will be in action for Uzbekistan as they continue their AFC World Cup qualifying campaign. They host Kyrgyzstan in Tashkent on Wednesday before facing a tough test against Iran on Monday. They are currently second in the third round group A standings.
