Manchester United will lose two centre-backs this summer in Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof while the injury record of both Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt is not the most encouraging.
The Argentine is expected to be out until next year and even upon his return, Ruben Amorim has plans to change his position while the Dutchman missed 13 games due to two major injuries.
If the head coach has the funds, he could strengthen at the back with FC Inter News claiming Yann Bisseck of Inter Milan is on the club’s radar ahead of the summer window.
The 24-year-old has made 45 appearances this season, helping keep 21 clean sheets while also netting thrice and registering as many assists.
His ability with the ball has been praised while he possesses phenomenal speed which helps him recover lost causes as seen at times during the both legs of the thrilling Champions League semi-final against Barcelona.
The Nerazzurri had acquired his signature for a little over €7 million from Danish outfit Aarhus GF and while they are in no hurry to sell, the Serie A giants remain receptive to the idea should any suitor offer a substantial amount.
“Manchester United’s eyes are on Yann Bisseck. The Red Devils, according to what was found by FcInterNews, are constantly following the performances of the German defender from Inter.
“So much so that they have already included the profile of the young Nerazzurri player in the list of those players who could be useful to the English already in this summer transfer session.
“At the moment, an official offer has not yet been presented to Inter – and it is not certain that this will happen. But the former Aarhus player, fresh from a contract renewal with the Viale della Liberazione club and a call-up to the German national team, is certainly liked by the finalists of the last Europa League.
“Bought for 7.5 million from Denmark, Bisseck’s value has grown exponentially. Inter, today, is no longer financially forced to give up its jewels, but this does not mean that it would refuse offers deemed suitable for some of its players.”
The Peoples Person had relayed that the Red Devils were open to offering €60 million for the German defender while his current market value stands at €30 million.
Whether INEOS have this money to spend on a defender this summer remains to be seen. But Yann Bisseck already plays as part of a three-man backline at Inter, which makes him perfectly suited to Amorim’s demands.
