Manchester United lower Garnacho asking price, but still too high for Napoli

Napoli had been in advanced negotiations with Manchester United for Alejandro Garnacho in January and will try again, but although the price reportedly dropped to €71m, it is still too high.
The Partenopei sought Garnacho as the ideal replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January following his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite not really bringing in a suitable heir mid-season, as Noah Okafor on loan from Milan barely set foot on the pitch, they still secured the Scudetto by one point.
Now they are qualified for the Champions League and already on the verge of securing Kevin De Bruyne as a free agent from Manchester City.

According to Telegraph Sport, Napoli will try again for Garnacho, especially after reports Manchester United have told him to find another club.
However, the asking price has dropped to £60m (circa €71m), and that is still considered to be an outlandish demand for the Argentine who turns 21 in July.

Another potential problem for Napoli’s interest is the fact coach Antonio Conte specifically asked for Garnacho, but his future at the club is far from secure.
There have been many hints from the tactician and President Aurelio De Laurentiis that they could part company after the Scudetto triumph.
It remains to be seen if Napoli would still be that interested in Garnacho under a different coach.
