Manchester United are keen on Leroy Sane, having already enquired about the Bayern Munich star, as per reports.
Ruben Amorim led Sporting CP against Premier League giants Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday and showed just what he is truly capable of achieving on the pitch with the right players.
Accordingly, the large share of the responsibility is on the United board to shape their squad as per their head coach’s vision.
In that regard, a report suggests the Mancunians have already started exploring the opportunity to bring in new players at Old Trafford.
Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming United are monitoring multiple Bayern players, who are nearing the end of their contracts in Munich. Sane was also mentioned in the report.
Now, BILD journalist Christian Falk has also claimed United are interested in the former Manchester City man, who will become a free agent at the end of the current campaign.
Falk further adds that the Red Devils have “already inquired” about the winger, who is capable of playing on both flanks.
The 28-year-old is also understood to be on Arsenal’s radar. However, he is expected to wait for the negotiations with Bayern before making any decision on his future.
The German international has three goals to his name in all competitions this season. Still, the arrival of Michael Olise in the summer has left question marks on his spot in Vincent Kompany’s starting lineup.
Meanwhile, there is plenty of uncertainty at United when it comes to their right flank. There is little hope Antony would cement his place in Amorim’s lineup and Amad Diallo, 22, is still too inexperienced.
As such, United’s alleged interest in Sane makes plenty of sense. The fact he already has Premier League experience further strengthens the case.
United are also keeping an eye on Alphonso Davies’ situation. However, the Canadian full-back’s wage demands might hinder their pursuit.
