Erik ten Hag has fresh injuries to juggle while fighting for his job
Erik ten Hag takes his Manchester United team to Porto this week needing a response.
Fresh injury concerns over both Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount do not make his task in the Europa League any easier, with Casemiro and summer signing Manuel Ugarte struggling with the pace of the English game.
The challenge of the Portuguese giants is unlikely to prove a reprieve for either, and Christian Eriksen may be turned to as an alternative option in the middle after starting against FC Twente.
Burno Fernandes will start again, with his ban for a red card against Tottenham restricted to English competitions, and Amad Diallo could get the nod over Alejandro Garnacho or Marcus Rashford, with neither turning heads against Spurs.
Joshua Zirkzee will likely start but Rasmus Hojlund is back in contention after injury.
Manchester United predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Dalot; Eriksen, Ugarte; Diallo, Fernandes, Garnacho; Zirkzee
Doubts: Maguire, Mainoo, Mount
Injured: Yoro, Shaw, Malacia
