Leeds United will travel to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United in the top-of-the-table Championship clash on Monday night.
Ahead of the match, the Whites boss, Daniel Farke, has confirmed that Manor Solomon is a major doubt for the Championship clash against the Blades.
The 25-year-old attacker picked up a knock in Monday’s 2-1 dramatic win against Sunderland and hasn’t trained with the team in the last few days.
There is still time left, and Farke is hoping that Solomon will return to training on Saturday or Sunday. But if he fails to train, then he won’t be picked for this massive clash.
Solomon is suffering from bruising after a nasty challenge in the previous game against the Black Cats. Max Wober (knee) and Patrick Bamford (hamstring) are still out injured, with the former expected to return to action after the international break next month.
Bamford is likely to return to training next week.
The race for automatic promotion is so intense this season, and only two points separate both Leeds and Sheffield United at the top.
Farke suggested in the press conference that even if his team suffers a defeat in this fixture, it will not mean the end of the world, as there are still plenty of games left to be played, and other teams can drop points.
Leeds have gone 15 league matches without a defeat and are in great form at the moment. Solomon has been superb for the Whites in recent weeks, and it will be a big blow for the club if he fails to recover before the game.
