Joao Felix scored on his debut for AC Milan, but a report has suggested that the Rossoneri initially had ideas of another player joining ahead of the former Barcelona man.
With negotiations for Marcus Rashford coming to a halt, Milan began to consider the prospect of adding Felix to the squad, but the move was denied at first. Whilst the Portuguese arrived on deadline day, it seems he was not the first choice.
According to a shock report from Marca this evening, it has been revealed that the Rossoneri attempted to make a move for Ferran Torres of Barcelona, however, talks never got off the ground with Deco rejecting the club’s advances instantly.
The report states that the Portuguese replied to the interest by categorically closing off a transfer, ‘Ferran is not leaving Barcelona’.
As we know, the Spaniard is not a new name when it comes to being linked with Milan, and he has regularly been involved in the ‘orbit’ of the club.
Hansi Flick and Deco both have a lot of faith in the attacker, but the Rossoneri could make another attempt in the summer depending on how open Chelsea are to the Felix proposal being worked on currently.
