As reported by Patrick Berger, former Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus is set to undergo his medical at LA Galaxy.
Last season, Reus announced that he would be departing Dortmund after 12 years at the Westfalenstadion.
Despite helping Die Schwarzgelben to their third-ever Champions League final, the 35-year-old was unable to receive the send-off he truly deserved as Real Madrid spoiled Reus’ leaving party on Europe’s grandest stage.
Regardless, while Reus may only have two DFB-Pokal titles to boast about during his time with BvB, he will still be remembered as one of the club’s all-time greatest players.
His story, however, still appears to have at least one chapter left to tell.
The MLS is on the horizon for the 35-year-old, with a medical at LA Galaxy scheduled upon his arrival.
It is understood that Reus will travel to the US West Coast today in order to complete his move to the Galaxy, where he will sign a contract until 2026, despite other reports suggesting his deal would be until December 2025.
Speaking on Reus’ potential arrival, LA Galaxy head coach Greg Vanney commented:
“A player with his profile brings experience, quality, and versatility, as well as a winning mentality—a championship mentality. These kinds of things are always good for teams.”
