Manchester United suffered a devastating 3-0 home loss at the hands of Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur.

Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke all got on the score sheet as the North London outfit piled further misery on Erik ten Hag and his players.

United had a 38% share of the ball in comparison to the Spurs’ 62% possession.

The Red Devils managed just two shots on target from their total 11 cracks at goal. Spurs on the other hand had 24 total shots, with 10 of these requiring Andre Onana to intervene.

United put together 377 passes with a pass accuracy of 77%.

Postecoglou’s side strung 622 passes with a completion rate of 88%.

After being dropped from the starting XI for last weekend’s trip to Selhurst Park, Marcus Rashford was restored to the United lineup by Ten Hag.

He started on the left on an attacking trio also consisting of Joshua Zirkzee and Alejandro Garnacho on the opposite flank.

During the time he was on the pitch before his substitution, Rashford registered 31 touches of the ball. He also successfully found his teammates with 14 of the 19 passes he attempted, managing an individual pass accuracy of 74%. One of his passes was a key pass.

The England international tried to connect with three crosses and one long ball. He found his intended target with the two crosses but not with the long ball he pinged.

Rashford embarked on one dribble, which he completed.

He delved into six ground duels and won five of them. He was not required to contest any challenges in the air.

The 26-year-old made one clearance and put in twice as many tackles. He also made one interception.

Rashford can perhaps hold his head high even after United’s hammering. He and his teammates will undoubtedly be hoping for far better fortunes when they travel to Portugal to take on Porto in the Europa League on Thursday.
